PALM AMBER ALE

Palm Amber Ale

At the beginning of the 1900s as Czech Pilsners and German Lagers were becoming popular in Western Europe, the Belgian brewing guild organized
a competition to create a beer that was refreshing, but with a uniquely
Belgian style. The brewers of Brabant named this beer Speciale Belge.
The brand named winner of the competition was PALM.

The brewing process starts with the purest water from PALM Breweries' deep underground spring. Specially selected malt, made according to PALM's own recipe is created using two-row summer barley from France's Champagne region, giving PALM its honey-like tenderness. A specially cultured yeast strain, itself a symbiosis of three different yeasts, is united with hops from Kent, England, to give PALM its unique aroma and subtle harmony.

The Pouring Ritual:

In Belgium, every beer has its own glass. Many bars will refuse to sell beer if its not in its unique glass. Perfectly poured beer is demanded by customers. This includes washing the glass immediately before use, ensuring a 2 inch head, cutting head to get rid of big bubbles then serving glass with logo facing customer on proper coaster.
